We are proud to announce that our Chain of Custody process and procedures have been successfully audited by Interface NRM, and that our timber windows and doors are FSC certified. This enables us to give our customers not only the assurance that our windows and doors are manufactured using the best materials from sustainable sources, but also the proof of full chain of custody for materials from forest to site. Our current certificate can be downloaded from our resources page and full online traceability of our licence may be verified via the FSC website.
What is CoC? – Chain of Custody is the unbroken path between the “forest gate” and the end user, including all stages of processing, manufacture, storage, sales and distribution. By having FSC Certification it enables us to say “This product has been made with timber from well-managed forests and we can prove it.”
FSC? –Forest Stewardship Council® is an independent organisation that promotes the responsible management of the world’s forests. The FSC label provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption of forest products, enabling consumers and businesses to make purchasing decisions that benefit people & the environment .
How does it work? – Our Company purchases timber and wood products from other FSC Certified companies. When we receive the goods, we must check that the delivery note details the supplier’s CoC Registration No. and FSC Claim (e.g. ‘FSC 100%’, ‘FSC Mix Credit’, ‘FSC Mix 70%’), to confirm they are certified
Who checks our compliance? – We are certified and audited by Interface NRM Ltd, an independent certification body that is accredited by FSC to ensure that certified companies comply with the scheme requirements.
